Re: Stanton Dog Locks

I had to search around to discover the name of the part on the MFT "support unit". The part if was describing above locked in to the small metal tab that's sticking upward (above the black handle).

Re: Stanton Dog Locks

Ed, thanks for pointing out the good video from Dave Stanton. I have enjoyed watching his stuff for several years. These things that he has made remind me of something someone made and (I think) had posted on the Festool Owner's Group forum a few years back. I recall I tried to buy a set but then th...

Re: High Hopes hose adapter to track saw

Hello Andrew, I missed this and so I am sorry for the delay in response to your question. No, the PC#314 had no factory dust port. The thing that Dino at EurekaZone had installed on his #314 looked like something he had fabbed in his shop. If I can find his video again, I will post it for your refer...

Re: New Member Old user

Hello Ron I found Jacob's site a while ago and at some point, I see he updated his status as being retired. Here is what he currently has active for a website: https://jacobvb.wordpress.com/ I sent a headstock to James Hopp in Raleigh NC. Here is his website: https://shopsmithrepair.com/ I hope this...

Re: High Hopes hose adapter to track saw

Hello Andrew I wish I had this product for my track saws back when I was using them on a daily basis! :) It's a long shot that you would have enough interest to merit the work for development, but if so, I would love to have a fitting that would work on the old Porter Cable Model#314 4 1/2" tri...

Re: Building a Japanese Wood Frame Home

That is a good video.

I also watch videos by a carpenter in Japan who has two channels: one is "Shoyan" and the other is "Shoyan Japanese Carpenter". Sometimes the videos have narration in English. This guy is truly a master of the trade.

Re: Improving lighting

Erik, thanks for posting this guidance for lighting design. Like your shop, my ceiling is about 9.5' and I adjusted the spacing of the fixtures like you did. I just ran the numbers and see I ended up with about 1.4 times the lumens the formula calls for. That ended up being "just right" fo...

Re: Tax Season

I did a trial run for our Federal return last night with the software from work. My retirement job has me doing tax work for part of the year--for just enough time to make me appreciate not working full time anymore. :) Kudos Dusty for getting ahead of the curve. :)

Dusty, that's too bad. But thanks for checking for me.

So Sorry. It does not seem to be there anymore. In fact. none of my uTube videos are there.
