Re: Made possible by this forum
Hello Dusty, I tried to search the forum for this video but didn't find it. Could you provide info about the video so I can watch it? Is it on YT? Thanks Rob Oh yeah, you were actually commenting on the efficiency of the dust collection on the Mark V it self. Sadly, no - it has not been improved but...

Re: Best place to advertise my 510 for sale
Hello Cindy Sorry to hear that you're at the point of having to sell tools. I agree with John that you might do best to sell the tools individually, although I have seen tool packages (not just Shopsmith) sell quickly if they are reasonably priced, clean, and presented well in the listings. I have b...

Nice work, Lew! QSWO is my favorite choice for wood.
I see you have an Oneida Dust Cobra. Have you used it with your SS and if so, how is the dust collection?

Re: Utah Winter Sunsets
Hello John We traveled along the west coast in 1994 and made the trip back home through UT. We loved the scenery and the long-distance views! I recall we made some trips up into the mountains and then later the friends we visited told us that those places we toured were the location of the 2002 Olym...

Re: Dec 2nd in IL, nice day for projects
Ed I have been cleaning out the shop, as well. I have the trash can right outside the door and my goal is to be full for Monday's trash pickup. I'm having a problem letting go of small scraps of wood, but it's time to get ruthless :) . I didn't know that pvc cement for pipes would work on pvc trim. ...

Russ, sure enough. It's not really an issue, just a small attempt at humor. Actually, I just discovered the Smilies here, so I could have used haha.

Re: Dec 2nd in IL, nice day for projects
Ed, I had a Kapex for a while but decided to sell it when I retired and closed my business. Occasionally, I wish I still had it. It was a very nicely made piece of machinery, that's for sure. DC was pretty good, and we could use it set up inside the customer's house without any problems. Recently, I...

Re: Shopsmith 6" x 48" belt sander
Ed, Gary-thanks for the info. It sounds like I can expect decent DC.
I'm sure it can't be as bad as using Grandpa's belt sander when I was a kid. No dust collection but instead dust dispersal through the shop door into the Kansas wind LOL.
