Re: Happy Thanksgiving!

It's the calm before the storm here  All family and guests are out doing whatever they're doing and it's just my wife and I who are at home at the moment. I just asked if I could change the locks now. I did get a small laugh but also "The Look". :D

Re: Walnut Carving

Randy, that's impressive! :) I've always had an interest in wood carving but haven't known anyone who does it. If you get a chance, could you post a picture of some of the carving tools you used to do that figure. Do you have a ballpark number for how many hours it took to complete the Christmas Lady?

Re: Webinar

Troy, I'm a bit late here at your thread but in case it helps anyone: I just attended one of Doug's webinars and it was a bit over 30 mins long. I don't have a microphone so I just typed whatever I needed to say in the chat thingy on the side of the screen. Doug has a good audio connection and it wa...

Re: Festool prices going up again

I started buying Festool sometime in 2000's (I don't recall exactly when it was). At the time, the prices seemed to be relatively high but still reasonable. I didn't have any problem spending what was needed, particularly because the dust collection was so good for most of the tools and it helped to...

Re: 2021 Tool Buget is over now on to 2022

Hello Ed I used to own both the smaller Domino (the 500), as well as the Domino XL. When I closed my business, I ended up selling both of them because I didn't have enough use for them to keep 'em on the shelf. But while I had the Dominos, we used the heck out of them and I have nothing but good thi...

Re: Dust collection

Thanks for the input guys. I have a high cfm dust collector already (Clearvue cyclone) so my interest is seeing in person how the various dust collection points of attachment on the SS work. The demonstration at the Dulles Expo Center is three days long, so hopefully I will be able to see all the fe...

Re: Dust collection

Algale, Thanks for the links to the videos. That has given me a good start as I take a look in to the topic of good dust collection.

I see you are close by, like kkoyle I am in Loudoun County VA.

Re: Dust collection

I am thinking about buying a Mark 7 but for me the go/no go decision will ultimately be based on dust control because of health concerns. There is a demonstration scheduled at the Expo Center in Chantilly VA March 23rd through the 25th. I plan to attend to see the machine in action but also I hope I...
