Help with faded warning label please
The label to the left of the power switch on my 1980 Mark V 500 has completely faded away, whereas the other two labels are still like new. Can anyone please tell me what it used to say, and possibly include a picture of what it used to look like? I will probably re-create with sticky back label mat...

Re: New planer with PowerPro
... Any idea on how to find out the date of manufacture. Customer Service indicated that they do not track SN age on the Planers. Just curious how old my new planer is. Not sure when Shopsmith may have changed their S/N numbering system, but the one I picked up about 18 months ago had a S/N of 0915...

Re: Today in the shop (mounting a Dust Right®)
... Your explanation of what you did and why are, as always, a great contribution to the forum. ... Thank you, Ed. I hope you never run out of money in your equipment budget. Every purchase you make seems to result in a very informative thread. I agree wholeheartedly! I find myself reading Ed's pos...

Re: New planer with PowerPro
Couple questions, it did not have a manual with it, where can I download this. Congratulations on a good find. There is a Service Tip (#34) available that covers a lot of the information in the owner's manual: http://www.woodshoptips.com/tips/101402/index.htm I could never find a place to download ...

Re: Has anyone used Premium Casters without relocating brackets?
FINISHED (for now). With control sheave button bearing replaced, was able to complete wood blocks on which Shopsmith will rest when weight taken off of casters. With new casters, now moves much easier, even on not-quite-as-smooth driveway. And with extra inch of clearance by NOT relocating brackets,...

Re: New Owner of a 1982 Mark V 500, and have some questions...
Welcome! More experienced and seasoned forum members usually get to be the first to answer new members questions such as yours, but I'll give it a try. 1. Accessory couplers are available thru Shopsmith (aka the Mother Ship), or thru ebay. 2. Can't help you with broken bandsaw table tilt, but if you...

Re: Looking for a Planer # 505990
Congratulations - hope it is in good shape and you are able to get it. The brackets are as you guessed: http://www.shopsmith.com/service/mv_planer/mv_planer_diagram.htm Looks like a pair with handles will cost about $40 plus shipping. When I got my planer, it too was missing the brackets, but they a...

Re: Problem with Revised Under-Shopsmith Cabinet
I have never tried to build this cabinet, but the dimensional discrepancy you are encountering takes me back to my working days as an architect, trying to figure out why dimensions sometimes didn't add up correctly. I think the original plans were just in error to try to get 4 drawers of the sizes n...

In case you are near, or know someone in Boston. First one is NOS. Second one is used, and includes a Mark V too!

Re: Power Cord Relocation to Back of Motor Pan
I just may do this mod. I don't have a Grainger account or access to a local Grainger so Amazon will have to do. This one should do. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O9WHGKC Yes, that looks very similar and in fact I like the threaded connection better than the snap together feature of the one I used. ...
