I used tape to layout a pcb, covered the copper clad with photo resist, cured it, exposed, developed, etched and drill. Only after all of that did i solder. Who cares, it almost 4 decades ago. The instructions are clear, use hot water from the tap. Do not bake at 250*, do not boil at 211*, do not microwave them, use hot water from the tap.

That bandsaw came with rubber bushing for the blade guides. I'd replace those right away.
