Re: nteresting Festool MFT copy
I get there news letter so I knew about this, is that how you found out? Ed I was doing a search on YouTube for parallel track guides for my DeWalt. A video showing the setup of this system was one of the selections. It has the demonstrator as one of the guys on WoodSmith from a few years back. Reg...

Re: The wisdom of the masses
Please get feedback as to the effectiveness or stupidity of this idea before you try it from those with significantly more common sense, but could you —- —- buy a long bolt from the hardware store with the same thread as the set screw, insert it until it hits bottom and then back out about a half tu...

Re: 220 volt
Will you notice a difference? Possibly. It depends on the operation and the wood. Working with 4/4 hardwoods and thinner, making rips and cross cuts for cabinets, curios and the occasional shelf, probably not. 3/4” deep an 3/4” dados in very hard woods possibly, if you knew what making those cuts we...

Re: Jessem Clear-Cut TS™ Stock Guides on Shopsmith 520 Fence
Although I mounted the router guides directly to the side T-slot on the 520 fence here, it would be easy enough to make up a more versatile mount. A board that mounts flat to the top of the 520 fence, via transverse T-slots, would just about do it. Maybe with a T-track attached to the blade side fo...

Re: Jessem Clear-Cut TS™ Stock Guides on Shopsmith 520 Fence
I was wondering if the older style Jessem guides (the ones that mount vertically to a fence) most often seen on a router table fence, could be used on the table saw? I have the Mark 7 / 520 fence with t-track on the vertical surface. Is the horizontal reach of these too limited as compared to the TS...

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Saw this https://kalispell.craigslist.org/tls/d/shopsmith-mark/6759003526.html After looking at the pictures it seems to have the router table, dust collector though not included in the description. May be worth a trip to the Kalispell Montana area. Definitely cheaper than most systems that show up ...

Re: Triton Router Dust Collection Preview
If the hose itself proves less than satisfactory, head to a vacuum repair shop and ask for a length of Filter Queen hose (what I bought is brown with black in color . It fits well into the router, it has a smooth inner surface so debris doesn’t catch as easily and the vacuum shop carried it in 50’ (...

Re: Shopsmith Email Specials
My situation is exactly the opposite. Months ago I sent an email asking to have them stop sending email “specials” since I have no plans of buying anything from them and received a reply that they would try, yet I still get them.  I guess Customer Service is having a tough time. Be w...
