Re: What is happening at Shopsmith???
That is what I am wondering, what I missing here, Ed? If I go to the service parts and see a price for a part which is suppose to be the regular price and then I see SS post a special sale item with the same price it just does not seem to the same to me. I would post a screen shot but I think anybo...

Re: I finally have a router
Thanks for sharing in my excitement with me! Now I just need to find time to become better acquainted with it and put it to use. And I guess start looking for another one so I can have one dedicated to a table and one dedicated to handheld. Oh, and I need to build a table. But I've got so many thing...

I finally have a router
I've never had a *good* router until now. I had an OLD Craftsman router with the "auto height adjust feature" (it couldn't be locked tight enough and the height/depth would change during operation) that sometimes got the job done, but I absolutely hated using. It recently broke for good. A...

Re: The Ultimate Sawsmith Radial Arm Saw Thread
lioneldobie, the screws are 1/4-20 thread. Thread length is a little over 2-1/8" (2-3/16" maybe?). Overall length is 2-3/8" long. They also have a lock washer. The 4 screws are the only thing securing the cover, but it also holds the bearing on the end of the shaft. This may be gummed...

Re: The Ultimate Sawsmith Radial Arm Saw Thread
Thanks for letting me know about that problem, Everett. The files were still there, but I guess the shortened DropBox links went away the last time DropBox made changes to their system. I updated the links with the full length link this time. Also added two new links - a Magna-Line Power Tools catal...

Re: Harbor Freight Dust Collector?
I'm getting close to finishing the main dust collector unit, but I have a question. Here is the assembly mocked up. 20180302_143019_edited.png From bottom up... barell, lower plywood ring with thein baffle, dust collector center ring/seperator, upper plywood ring, and then the impeller/motor assembl...

Re: Harbor Freight Dust Collector?
I have been attempting to come up with a filter bag for the top of the unit that has very large pores to increase the air flow. I keep the unit in an exterior location and I don’t care if I blow a little dust out into the field. So far I have not been able to come up with a solution beyond the stan...

Re: Harbor Freight Dust Collector?
I finally picked up the HF dust collector a couple weeks ago. It sat in a box until this past weekend when I was finally able to get to doing something with it. I assembled it as designed stock to give it a good test. My test wasn't so great because I don't have any 4" flex hose to connect to t...

I'm open to suggestions on what would make a good "set." Any number of segments is possible.
