Do you have another saw besides the Shopsmith?

I was wondering how many use the Shopsmith but have another saw (table, Radial arm, etc) that they also use. I have a few friends that use the SS for everything but primary cutting. They keep theirs for functions like the disk sander, drill press, lathe, and to power their band saw, jointer and othe...

Just Wondering

Does anyone know if the Shopsmith financial picture has improved any?
I would have thought with the sales and everyone talking about how to help Shopsmith things would be improving.

My SS is working fine. In fact, we have been working it hard. Actually, we have been working it continuously for three days. But we are working with clear pine (no hardwood). Also, we are in an open, outdoor shop, in full morning sun and the temperatures have been in the 100s. The headstock is sooo...

Dusty How do you mount the other main table? I think I mentioned I took a main table that was defective and with some milling was able to build a router table out of it. I'm still in the refinning process but the idea does seem feasible. I would like to be able to mount in on a extension table suppo...

I would really love to hear Nicky weigh in on this issue. I can hardly believe SS only offers one extension but two positions to mount it in and then say it will only align in one or the other. I don't doubt Ed (Reible) or what he read I simply find it hard to believe this is what SS meant. That cou...

 Hi, Dusty you have ask a good question and I could attempt to answer but first I think maybe we should review what shopsmith says in the Mark V Pro System section (pages are labled with a C-#). Start at C-29 Align the extension table. You that have access go ahead and read it but for thos...

I feel that the main tables and all its integral parts are right on. In fact, the entire set up works great. Alignments are fine, fence slides from table to table no problem. Life is good. Until I install an extension table or floating table (especially extension table) into the system somewhere ot...

[quote="dusty"]No, Ed, you cannot order the part from SS. It is not standard. Reads Nick's contribution to this thread and you'll understand. I used a piece of 1" steel pipe] Dusty I think you misunderstood. I wanted to know about the two parts that connect the adjustable leg to the t...

Dusty
Looking Good!!!!!

What did you use to attach the support bar to the the table columns?
I assume the table connection if from a standard shopsmith outfeed table.
I wonder if we can order the part?
