Trust me don't upgrade to the 510 go all the way to the 520. It is so superior to the 510. The 510 is a marked improvement over the 500 but 520 is that and more over the 510. Knowing what I know now I would have never wasted my time or money going to the 510 (it was the only thing when I first upgra...

I think there is one hurdle we still haven't talked about. That is "Hands ON"! No not the magazine but the actual hands on time with the machine. I don't know many people that would buy a $3000+ machine without at least touching it. I know I sure wouldn't. There was an interesting discussi...

Although I don't like to disagree with you, Ed - I have seen many posts that share techniques and "How to's" on this Forum. True, there a quite a few complaints, and some of them unfounded, as they resulted from operator error. For the most part, however, many of us have expressed the valu...

...As far as making this forum better goes, do you mean more participation? If so, I agree. More input, more useful (usually:) ) information. What if once a week or month. the forum Admin. sent an email to all registered users of a recent hot post on the forum. This would not only remind them of th...

Power on and off switch that is relocatable and can be kneed in an emergency. Agreed. See the solution with pictures I posted on the first page of "StopSaw System" or the other forum, SSUG.org, under photos for "Shopsmith Safety Switch". Very easy and effective solution....I love...

What would you consider a fair price? I'm not challenging you I'm just asking for what you think it should cost.
Keep in mind the replacement SS upper Saw guard is $81.22

The Sharkguard does not yet come in the 500 flavor. I would suggest that interested parties contact Lee and let him know of their interest in a 500 model.
