Been cheap, I selected the Oneway tommy bar version. When I upgraded to a bigger lathe, all I needed was a new adapter to use the chuck. I now have 3 of the tommy bar version. Size wise it is the same as the talon. IMO the tommy bar is much faster to go from small to large diameter than using a key....

How did these work on legs.

All the pictures I have seen these would not work. I picked up two sets of these and used one on radial arm saw.

Looking at the manual, it seems that they are Velcro backed disks. If so I have made ones(not for this) from Velcro sand paper. To cut the rings go to auto parts store and get an section of tailpipe the correct size and sharpen one end.

Like Buckeye said, but use steel wool to remove the softened material. One nice think is it won't remove patina.

I have a Ridgid 12 drill and like it. I have had at least 3 batteries replace free. They would not hold a charge. I use it more for adjusting the band clamps when I make rings for segmented turnings.
