Watch old reruns of Flipper. They had them to patrol the Everglades. You could navigate shallow water without fear of hitting the prop on the bottom or on whatever was floating just under the surface. They moved pretty fast.

Well I was given three six foot long 32” maple logs last week. That was my excuse to upgrade my chainsaw as my 20” Poulan is getting tired. My plan was to get a few table top slabs as well as bowl blanks and some spindle stock. I bought a 36” Husqvarna, and then ordered an Alaskan Chain Saw mill. Af...

I use whatever is on hand, but wipe on poly is easiest for me. It also helps seal the wood from moisture so wood movement is lessened.
