Wow, 3/4" sides and bottom! You will be able to fill those drawers with gold bars - as long as the slides you choose can hold the weight. I used 1/2" sides/front/back with 1/4" bottoms (all Baltic birch plywood) and I would have no problem filling those drawers with lots of heavy stuf...

This is a small table I finished about a month ago where I used these joints for the drawers.

Yes! That is what I use. Have done 24 drawers using this method and it has worked well for me. First saw it on Woodsmith Shop. Easy setup and strong joints.

Keep in mind the direction of force when the wing nut it tightened. Don't enlarge the hole, put a nut 'above' the hole.

The general wisdom on this forum seems to be to oil the sheaves with a light (#10) machine oil. I found this in the Maintenance and Troubleshooting section: ... Nice job and it works well. That wood looks a lot like some Douglas fir I have.
