Re: Old MKVII motor
I had the same experience shortly after I started using my VII. After checking out the wiring carefully, I narrowed the problem down to the start capacitor. Mine was a GE motor.bigk01 wrote: one time when I went to turn it on it wouldn’t run in the forward rotation. It just hums and vibrates.

Re: Blade wobble Two Machines Same Problem
I'm not saying I know what the answer is, but I notice that no one has yet mentioned the possibility of play in the arbor mount. If the bore is larger than the spindle diameter, the setscrew will pull the arbor a little off center, possibly at a slight angle. The fit of the spindle should be tight e...

Re: Magna dado arbor
That arbor should have enough movable spacers so you can line it up where it belongs. The problem is that the arbor shaft is too long to fit the blade into the guard. Guard problem.jpg The Mark 5 guard fits the table system, the 510 guard doesn't. This works fine with sawblades and the early, stubb...

Yeah, that's what I have. I was thinking there might be a trick one to bring the blade in closer.edflorence wrote:... part #505506.
Lacking that, can anyone show me a pic of the widening spacer for the Mark 5 lower guard? Looks like I have to find or make something.

Re: Look what followed me home from California...
A couple more differences come to mind: Also, I expect because of the added torque of the main-table-mounted aux table, the VII main table has two trunnion locks, fore and aft. I'm using the aft one for the first time today. ... it seems like the Mark VII was at least a few inches taller than a Mar...
