Re: New Member Here...

Does it get that cold there? Wow, we definitely live in the banana belt up here. Sometimes the rain is even warm. The ground source heat pump as the energy source does offer some positives. But before you go there look at the construction details. Insulate, air-seal, low-E windows to name a couple. ...

Re: New Member Here...

Is there time for Movies? Just trying to keep up and have some fun along the way. Picture postings worked like a charm. Thanks to everyone pitching in. I posted the Earring Display Rack over at October Projects. Kind of seemed like that's where it should go. Certainly not worth its own thread. I wil...

Re: October 2016 projects

Nothing major here. It is craft time and I am practicing with picture uploads. A new found knowledge. First picture should be the folding earring display rack. Actually completed in October hence this posting. Maybe the finishing was November. The second picture is the overall display from a couple ...

Re: New Member Here...

Hey guys and thanks. Lots to absorb here. Will work on it the next day or two. Tomorrow over to the wife’s craft sale. Jewelry of course, but nice. Made a fold-up display rack for the earrings. Turned out pretty decent. Far better than my usual rustic. I blame that on the Shopsmith. Will try and get...

Re: Tricked-out overarm pin router

Heh, I was thinking about picking that one up, price never dropped to my trigger point. How much did you end up paying for it?[/quote] $300. Probably could have pushed the price down some but an older guy, health problems, getting rid of his tools and hated to go there. Good shape and had all the pa...

Re: New Member Here...

Still looking for the "HowTo..." beginners page for the forum. In particular attaching - posting a picture? Must be straight forward but I haven't figured it out. FAQ's, not much info, at least detailed. First forum, this one. Also logging in from Tablet? Reading forum works fine but loggi...

Re: Tricked-out overarm pin router

Oops – I did it. Now own the Overhead Routing System by Shopsmith. Vintage 9-30-88, looks awfully close to Ed's pictures. Made the mistake of going over to see it. No rust which is something in this country. Looked in good shape and very little use that I could see. Even came with a router and even ...

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

Looks like a good deal on Leigh hold-down clamps for the work bench. Buy one, get one free and free shipping. Offer good through Oct 31st. Let me know if link doesn't work. Showed up with an emailing from Fine Woodworking and can dig further. Enjoy. Got a couple on order myself. https://www.leighjig...

Re: Tricked-out overarm pin router

Thanks for the information Ed. And the pictures. Actually the space is more of an issue for me. The footprint of another standalone tool. I'm kind of if-a-pocket-screw-will-work then use the pocket screw. Advanced joinery, not so much. Above my skill level at this point. Jeff

Re: New Member Here...

Thanks. Already have a question in under BuckeyeDennis' thread "Tricked-out overarm router".

Can someone tell me how to put in Location: Upper right on posts? Maybe there is "howto-use-forum" page? Thanks.
