Re: Power Pro No power
I have has a RPS error code issue multiple times over the last couple of years. First time in 2016, I had to replace the power supply and the speed sensor--here is one link on this subject http://www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum/maintenance-and-repair-f10/how-to-resolve-a-rps-state-error-0-t20268.html The...

Re: How to Resolve a RPS State Error 0
This is a follow-up to a long string on RPS errors. Since I did all the fixes last year, the system has run very well. After doing a fair amount of drilling, I lowered the unit for some disk sanding. Upon starting the unit up, I got the dreaded RPS error again. This time removed the back cowling and...

Re: Mark 7 110 vs 220 performance?
Thank you. I understand the Mark 7 motor/electronics are self aware of the power voltage. In theory you could have two plugs on the power cord one for 220 and for 110. Do you know if my assumption here is correct?

Mark 7 110 vs 220 performance?
I am adding a 220 outlet to my shop. I have a Mark 5 upgraded to a Mark 7, running 110. What performance improvements might I expect by powering the Mark 7 with 220? I cut many different woods, usually hard and very common to cut 8/4 stock. I don't have dimming lights or breakers tripping today. Rea...

Re: Drill Press Using 2+ in Forstner bits
I have tried slower RPM's down to 250RPM's. Tried wax. Still get belt slippage as depth of cut progresses--going very slowly to avoid this. Best approach I have found is first drill 1 1/4" to desired depth, then follow-up with 2 1/2" bit to finish the cut.
