Re: Router Table Mounted on SS
Well I have finally finished my project for mounting a very good routing table and lift to my SS. I decided to use a Incra Masr-R Lift ( http://www.incra.com/router_system_accessories-mast-r-lift-ii.html ) and the Woodpecker phenolic table and super fence http://www.woodpeck.com/superfence.html. For...

Re: Safety Power Tool Switch
The physical electric switch is left on, providing power to the control panel. You use a button on the PP control panel to turn machine on/off and set speed. The physical button on the PP does not "start" the PP SS.

Re: Incra Box Joint
I reached out to technical support at Incra-and received very good support. The bottom line is that I got the position of the silver micro adjust knob out of sink with the macro red knob by holding the former (silver) while turning the latter (red). While this is the procedure for very fine adjustme...

Re: Incra Box Joint
Good thought, thank you--I will try this to see if it is better. I did just switch to the MK 7 and am having better luck. Will make my first real box this afternoon

Re: Incra Box Joint
I am just learning how to use the Incra I-Box jig. Have read most if not all the threads. I am first trying to use the SS version of the jig on a router table (will then move to the MK 7). Using a 1/2" router bit, consistently my "box" cut is 1/2", but the finger "cut" ...

Re: Incra Box Joint
A review on the SS website for the Incra jig makes reference.... if the table saw tilts to the right to install the jig on the right and if it tilts to the left then install on the left. The Shopsmith tilts to the right but the jig doesn't work if installed on the right--needs to be installed on the...

Re: Safety Power Tool Switch
Got it. An inconvenience for sure-but perhaps acceptable if used only as an emergency kill switch. Thank you.

Re: Router Table Mounted on SS
[img][img][/img][/img]First want to thank everyone for comments, insights and suggestions. After careful thought I decided to mount the Phenolic router table (3/4 in thickness) on top of the SS work table and an extension table. I adjust the spacing between the worktable and extension table so the i...

Re: Safety Power Tool Switch
Thank you. I was think of mounting it on right front bracket that holds the way tubes. That way I could use a knee for emergency off. I have read and heard that the PP doesn't work with a power strip. I have mine plugged into a power strip which is on a GFI circuit and it works just fine. Is that th...
