HopefulSSer, Thanks for the Shopsmith reference. By the way, is this Shopsmith Wiki still being maintained? I've seen it before, but I didn't think it was being actively maintained or updated by anyone at Shopsmith any more. No idea. But I would imagine very little of the info will have changed

Just for fun I measured mine just now using a phone-based tach (accuracy unknown). I appear to be getting about 750 up to about 5200.

I just upgraded my greenie with a 1.125 motor complete with sheaves. As a result I had to adjust my high speed stop. One thing I noticed is if I turn off the unit while at high speed, it trips my power strip when I start it again. It does not trip during a low speed start. I'm sure it has a bigger / longer amp draw when starting at high speeds but maybe this is just an issue with the power strip? Any advice is ap...
