An advantage of the iron table is that you can use a magnetic fence and easily place it at any angle (resawing for instance). Or, magnetic featherboards, etc.

I have 26 Wood magazines (Jan 2008 - May 2013) and 4 Woodworker's Journal magazines that I would like to pass along to someone that could use them. While that would seem to be the case, the Grip-Tite system can be used on aluminum tables, just not directly. They are primarily intended for use on the fence. Grip-Tite website.
