Alan, It looks to me that the table is also missing the OPR base - a U-shaped frame that has a casting attached to the rear where the column is anchored. See Ed Reible's photo set here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/12199425@N02/sets/72157601718316398/ The table looks to be in good shape with no wate...

Might as well throw in my 2 cents... Many of the manuals from other manufacturers that I have seen actually have very little real content about the tool itself. There are many pages relating all the safety do's and don'ts. But how many of these "free" manuals are as comprehensive as SS man...

Dusty, You're correct. The newer design table included a table insert to which a router can be mounted so that under table routing can be done also. There are inserts, as Ed shows in picture DSCF1537, that are used for pin routing. The insert for under table routing can be seen in DSCF1530. I haven'...

Joe, Take a look at Barb's picture. You'll see that you do have the bracket to attach the column to the base. What you don't have is the rectangular base that the table and column attach to. Here is a former forum member's pictures of his OPR that will give you a much better understanding of the com...

I'm jealous. The web cams at Tech are showing a big snow melt since Friday. Have a safe trip and do show us more of the U.P. shop!

Molding package

When I bought my 520 (used), it included quite a number of accessories, some of which I did not already have. One of the those is the molding package. The previous owner never used it nor have I, as yet. I'm not really sure if I ever would use it. Which brings me to wonder about others. Anybody have...

Tool sharpening

Does anyone own the Worksharp 3000 sharpener? I read really good things about it online. My local Woodcraft has finally tried it and they thought it was pretty good. I'm wavering between the the Worksharp and the SS chisel sharpening attachment. The SS is on sale and free shipping through tomorrow, ...

Ring Master

I purchased one a number of years ago and made some bowls. Other things have slowed my woodworking for a while and I hope to use the Ring Master again soon. I've attached pictures of the first bowls I made. Three of them are poplar which explains the uneven stain. They're just a small example of wha...
