Yesterday, I received the replacement switch that Bill Mayo is offering for sale - thanks Bill! It installed nicely and works like a charm. This particular switch is a SPDT but fits and works just fine. I have also ordered a switch from the Ace Hardware store in NY. It should be here sometime next w...

Does anyone know who the manufacturer is for the switch in 522384. Anyone who might have one of these switches, I would appreciate a PM telling me what markings exist on that switch. Dusty, Rather PMing you I thought others might be interested in the answer to your question... I removed my switch y...

I don't believe that back orders are near the problem they were a few weeks/months ago. Shopsmith is working on this problem, you can bet. They don't like back orders any better than we do. They are costly. You can contact Shopsmith by sending an email to Admin. Doug is swamped but I am confident h...

Boy, finding a suitable substitute or like switch is becoming a major chore! I've spent most of the afternoon surfing the web looking for switches that may work. Based on some references in this forum, I did find some specifications for a switch that looks very much like the one SS is or has been us...

OKAY, I give up. There must not be anyone making a rocker switch like the one used in the Mark V. I have spent the better part of an afternoon trying to locate one. I find a lot of switches that would (might) work without any major modifications but I can not find a supplier of the switch with a re...

And the reply I received this morning from SS CS... " Your order number nnnnnnnn is still on backorder. I do not have a due date. I do apologize for the delay. " I know the person replying is only a messenger but my confidence in SS is going down hill quickly. Am going to pursue this issue...

Switch - still on back-order

Well I thought I would post the progress (or lack thereof) of my switch problem with my SS 510. I initially placed an order for a new switch back in December of 2008. As of today, I still have NOT recieved that replacement due to what SS Customer Service tells me is a supply problem and that the swi...
