We also order Nexium from the Canadian Pharmacy here in Tampa and get packaged Nexium for about 1/3 the price of buying Nexium here in the US. You can blame the FDA for the high cost of drugs sold here, it costs $50 million to bring a drug to market in the US and virtually nothing is the rest of th...

That sucks ......... Thanks though sir. I agree. The reason for all this was wage and price controls that were put in both during WW-II and the Nixon administration allowed employers to provide free/low cost health insurance and not count is a raise thereby skirting the wage controls. Once com...

If your employer offers it, you could also look at going with a higher deductible plan and a flex spend/health savings account so that deductible get spaid with pre-tax dollars. I wouldn't expect to much of a gain though. ObamaCare has virtually eliminated Health Savings Accounts. They were the lon...

This entire discussion would be pointless if the US did what every other, and I do mean EVERY, developed country does. The worst part is that we already spend more tax money per person than any other country and we rank horribly in actual healthcare quality. For example: we are 39th in infant morta...

[quote="db5"]I can give you a specific example that is related: I take a specialty medication that is filled monthly. In January 2012 the co-pay for that medication was $265. In January 2013 it was $750] Your co-pay is not a function of pharmaceutical companies if you look the price of you...

Myself, I mostly use my ShopSmith for a lathe and it does OK. However for the money of the PowerPro upgrade, I can get a nice full-sized lathe, so one of those is higher on my want list, along with a full sized bandsaw. I'm lucky enough to have the room for the individual tools though and realize m...

Issue an eviction notice for your son's car and you can start moving in tomorrow. I'd be hard pressed to want for shop space that is occupied by "a car owned by someone else". Are you aware, there is a national trend that indicates many kids may NEVER leave home. Got rid of the older one ...

OR, you could buy a PP for a whale of a lot less, and have exceptionally versatile high-quality machinery that will hold its value for probably three times longer. Yea, I know, you have to spend more time on changeovers. But personally, I am fortunate enough to have a small climate-controlled walk-...
