I don't recall having to remove that collar in order to remove the belt guard cover. I remember the cover was on very snugly though, but came off with some persuasion after those four screws were removed.

Restoring my Grandpas 1961 Yuba....so reviving this thread (hopefully)

The belt cover is missing the four screws that hold it on. Any chance someone knows the approximate size so I can get replacements? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Also the last outstanding question in this thread does the belt cover come off without removing the sheath with the hard to access setscrew?

I'll try to remember to check mine out when I get home tonight and answer both questions.

I could not get the PDF files I tried to download from the front page.

Could you check into that when you have a free moment?

Thanks for letting me know about that problem, Everett. The files were still there, but I guess the shortened DropBox links went away the last time DropBox made changes to their system. I updated the links with the full length link this time. Also added two new links - a Magna-Line Power Tools catalog from 1957 (even though this predates the Sawsmith RAS, I still thought it was interesting), and a zip file containing all of the documents in one download.

lioneldobie, the screws are 1/4-20 thread. Thread length is a little over 2-1/8" (2-3/16" maybe?). Overall length is 2-3/8" long. They also have a lock washer. The 4 screws are the only thing securing the cover, but it also holds the bearing on the end of the shaft. This may be gummed up and require a little persuasion to come off.
