As I mentioned before, I found the Mark VII came with a steel speed control. The plastic rack was broken but someone had a steel replacement for it and never put it on. The original key and on/off switch was replaced by switches...
Hi, Would you know if the metal rack is a new replacement from shopsmith?
My plastic rack needs replacement.

I am not very familiar with the Mark VII, but I did see an eBay seller (houseofrust) with a listing for what they were calling a “Shopsmith Mark VII Replacement Rack”. It looks like it is a 3D printed part. As I read the listing they are selling the replacement rack for one side for $40.

The replacement part is half the length of the oem part.
Two oem parts are on the front way tube only.
So the e-bay pair for $40 replaces one oem part.
So to replace the entire rack costs $80.
The rear way tube has NO rack.
