JPG you are correct. Yesterday Bruce and I were looking at how the original caster sits in the sleeve and there is just under a 1/8" gap.

Russ showed me how the top of the post actually bottoms out when slipped in to place. So even though the original caster and the new caster have the exact same profile of 2" it is still a little off.
The place I bought the new casters claimed there is no caster made with a 1 11/16" post. At least he did not carry one.
As JPG stated it could be fixed with a washer. But with warmer weather I am too busy making sawdust to try and fix it. :)
