Lol. The ‘Made in Taiwan’ label on the knob may have something to do with the coloring. I will be stripping it down to bare metal. It does have a polished handle clamp, similar to the SS miter gauge.JPG wrote:Good Job!!!!

Added a dust control port, the hole to access the tension adjustment and a window to view the tension setting. Any other modifications I should consider before calling this completed?

The horizontal screws as you know hold the fence on, the two small vertical screws hold the bar stop guide in place (does anyone ever use those) similar to the SS but it uses set screws instead.JPG wrote:Foam fill the cubbies that capture sawdust.

I like the foam idea!
I’ve read about a nylon screw upgrade, but so far my vertical adjustment seems solid without it.
Perhaps its time to move on to the belt sanders now...

I simply have 5/16 flat bottom set screws in those bores and use the always handy SS tool kit for the stop rod.

I made a 'cover' using shellacked butcher paper for the bandsaw and the thickness planer. Upon posting that it was suggested to simply foam fill. I have not done so(yet).P89DC wrote:Great idea! For what purpose are the two tapped blind holes in the front miter slot of the cast iron bandsaw table? They are seen in the photo of the OP's bandsaw on page 2 of this thread. I have the same bandsaw and have looked in my manual, but can't seem to find the answer.
