Sharpening vintage dado blades

Post by Ash1562 »

Does anyone know of a good site or video that outlines how to best sharpen the shopsmith dado blades? Primarily, to make sure they're all the same height and then sharpen them.

I have never sharpened mine (6" Shopsmith, non-carbide), but a quick Google search came up with this YouTube video that makes it look relatively easy. If and when I ever want to sharpen mine, I will definitely consider trying this method.

I had mine sharpened a long time ago by the same local shop that sharpened my 10" saw blades. Just remind the shop to not vary the diameters and it should be OK
