Insides also look like great progress will be attainable.

I think you gots a good un.
The white on the belt looks to be mold, and of course the belt is stiff as a board.

Besides a lot of sawdust that needs to be cleaned out, all the parts look great to me. Wish my parts looked that good. That should clean up very well. The only thing missing from those photos is the motor. Looking forward to seeing how it has fared with all that sawdust build-up.

I've checked the bearings and they spin freely, no play and only a slight noise that you have to hold to your ear to hear. Question, can I immerse the drive sleeve in Evaporust with without harming the bearings?

Well, got the speed control cleaned up, but it was binding some, this looks to be the reason

No need to 'evapoprust' the drive sleeve. rotary wire brushing will suffice followed by JPW.

Quadrant gear is typical wear, get a new one, but that one IS salvageable.

Check the pivot for sloppy fit.

Bearings are not supposed to 'spin freely'. They should have internal grease that slows the spinning.

I suggest the Bill Mayo fix for the quadrant support arms. I think someone who knows where it is will provide a link.

P.S. BEWARE the motor shaft tension spring!!!!
