Re: Segmented Urn
First, my condolences Paul. I have lost both my parents now and know what you are going through. It softens with time, never goes away, but softens. What a beautiful thought and tradition using hand made Urns.
They are in a better place than us. Your embedded crosses brought a tear. Very nice touch
I love your as usual exceptional work. Your father would be proud.

Re: Segmented Urn
Let me add my condolences. The urn turned out (pun intended) beautifully.

Re: Segmented Urn
My condolences also. It is beautiful. As someone who has only turned when I first got my SS in the 80s to see what it was like I have a novice question. Why are some blanks octagonal and others round.

Re: Segmented Urn
The most beautiful turning I have ever seen. Good job Paul.
Re: Segmented Urn
The round ones are one piece. The octagonal rings are glued up from segments.wrmnfzy wrote:My condolences also. It is beautiful. As someone who has only turned when I first got my SS in the 80s to see what it was like I have a novice question. Why are some blanks octagonal and others round.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.
