Dust Collection holders

Started on a dust hose holder years ago, but just reached that "do it now" moment recently and finished the holders. One mounts in the back hole of the carriage so hose is directly behind whatever you turn. The second one mounts in the miter slot. I needed dust collection for a power carving that I was working on. It works for drill press work also.

? holder is just a tight fit on hose. SS did a demo at Woodcraft this past year and had a machined connector for the miter gauge slot just like mine, but slicker

Slick! I was contemplating that just this morning, after seeing an ad for Rockler's $50 version. For a Shopsmith, I like yours better.

I always like simple little jigs like this, they are an examples of a long line of woodworking innovations that has gone on since way before you or I ever stated woodworking.

Could we get another photo showing the ? shaped piece in profile. I'm wondering how it holds the hose so perhaps a few more words on that?

Thanks,

Ed
