As a lifelong chess player I cannot imagine, in my wildest dreams, anyone playing under the influence of valium, especially at that level. Just not real life. Years ago I traded in my fancy wood chess board and pieces for a vinyl roll-up board and plastic pieces. I can spill beer, coffee or mustard on them and they clean up fine. Cutting boards are a more practical build.

I have a pretty small shop, its something like 12 x 14, in the basement. One thing I do is store my stock in the garage so the shop that space isn't lost. It was easy to fashion a hanging unit off the joists and to store sheet goods alongside the car. Also when I do a larger assembly I use the family room for a few days.
