Although it does not matter as far as parts go what color is it? They came in the Greenie, Goldie and Gray paint schemes. The Magna Logo Housing Cover continued on the Jig Saw until 1984 when Shopsmith Inc. finally replaced it with the SS Logo Housing Cover. Shopsmith is no longer making replacement parts for the Jig Saw and only has a few remaining parts for it in stock.

I am not a professional construction and/or woodworker. I needed to make cuts on 1' plywood for building a platform and I chose the DEWALT Bare-Tool DC330B over the circular saw because I anticipated having to make some wandering cuts.
Well I didn't, the cuts were all straight. But it was fine because this baby cuts true with a steady hand. I used the small batteries that came with my DeWalt drill and the power is sufficient for around-the-house projects.
Very happy with my purchase! I cannot speak for how this unit would operate under extreme/heavy use. But as a consumer, she does the job A-okay.

I, too recently got one of these Magna's, where can I find the blades? Are they the same as the newer SS jig saw?

Thanks.

They can use 5" pinless scrollsaw blades.
