There is a digital copy of the first edition (10ER specific) available, ;)

click this link, - in the first post, click the red "My Google Drive", - click the folder "PTWFE 10ER 1953"

SkullsquadronX,

I checked out my Air Compressor this morning and it is missing the filter also. The manual calls it a "sponge type filter." I am going to replace it with foam sheet material about an 1/8" thick which is about the distance between the housing and the filter retainer. I'll cut it to size from what I can find. I am thinking a foam sleeve from a shop vac. If I feel it needs a finer filter I may try a layer from a shop vac filter bag with the foam filter.

According to the maintenance instructions in the manual the filter should be washed in warm soapy water, rinsed in clear water and squeezed dry. Sounds like cleaning the foam lawn mower filter on my 35 year old 3-1/2 HP 20" mower.

Well today I have a few more things I have add to my collection of Shopsmith stuff. I add two set of I feed/out feed extensions table brackets and a strip sander.

Today I added a Power Pro Headstock. I’ll be putting this on my double tilt bench I pick up a few months ago. I guess I can say I now have a Shopsmith Mark 7 and a Shopsmith Mark V 520.

I also got another 520 floating tables and 3” wheels for the Mark 7. Still have to pick up a set of caster brackets yet for the Mark 7.

Today I pick up a foam filter for a Kohler engine to use in my Shopsmith Air System. Wasn’t happy with the foam filter for a shop vacuum because I could see through it. I’m much happier with the Kohler filter.

Today I pick up a DC3300 locally and found a 12” planer through Facebook Marketplace in Trenton, NJ. It was a package, a Mark V 500 and the planer. So I now have three Shopsmith machines. The one I pick up today is a 1980.

These are the things that came with the 1980 Mark V 500, except the lower saw guard. This one did come with the lower guard like the 1982 didn’t come with the upper guard. I’m still missing a piece of the 500 saw guard.

Something I know what they are a something have me baffled.
