Thin strip ripping for lams

Post by easterngray »

Hey fellows; it’s been a long time since I visited the forum. Still making nets and using the original incra jig for thin strip ripping... the hoops are laminated.

Those are beautiful! What do you use for nets or do you knot your own?

Algale I purchase the netting; though I have intentions to make some netting shuttles and stitch my own... just haven’t done it yet since I still have a bunch of net bags.

This is a project I'd love to take a crack at for a fisherman friend. Did you use plans? If so, could you provide a link?

No plans - I just made a form by tracing a paint can, an aerosol can and connecting the two circles; cut the form on the band saw, drilled some holes for clamps and mounted it on a board - easy-peaky. 👍 I should note that this is a small net.

The finished net is gorgeous — but if that’s a push stick in the first pic, it’s in a class by itself!
