Way tube table

Post by lewparsell »

I am looking for plans or pictures of an auxiliary table sits on top of the way and interlocks below them I have seen it in a YouTube video so I know it can be done. I have a compound miter saw and separate jigsaw that I would like to use it, it would also allow me to use the existing shopsmith tables for sport.
I have seen it in a YouTube video

Here is a link that may provide some more information on how Doug Reid made the miter saw base

Another option can be found here

Here is the video where Doug introduces his miter saw base ( starts around the 4 minute mark)

What is the dove-tail shaped groove that is now covered up on the bottom used for?

If you have a 2nd carriage and table you could all ways set it up to be adjustable and it can be locked down , a fence can be locked down to the table extension and used as a stop . my .02
