Christmas Projects #3 & 4

Post by john »

Attached are a few pictures of our latest projects.

One is a tic-tac-toe game for our five year old great grand-daughter. Actually the picture is from craft show items that I used to make. The current gift box was finished quite literally just in time to be picked up so I don't have pictures of it.The main pieces are painted ladybugs that I had left over from craft shows. My wife spotted them in my supplies cabinet and since my great grand-daughter likes ladybugs, she thought a tic-tac-toe game would be a good gift. I also had some Christmas tree pieces so I sprayed a set with gold paint and my wife painted some green with glitter added so there are now four choices to choose from when playing. Fortunately all pieces fit in the box.

The scond is an outdoor Christmas tree to be used as a backdrop for the polar bears we have displayed for years. This is actually the third year I make one but the the first two were diverted to grandsons who wanted them. The first to replace a natural tree that died from dehydration as our grandson forgot to water it. (first tree living alone, no experioence)

I still have one more gift to make, a cutting board, but am waiting to hear what style my grand-daughter has in mind.

Take care, be safe, and Happy 2021.

Very festive, John! I’d complement you on all the painting, but I have a hunch that part was delegated to your wife. :)

Thanks for the comments!

Yes, my wife has taken over the painting. She was especially anxious to do it this year since all her normal activities were cancelled. Maybe I'll be allowed to do some in 2021 if things ever return to normal.

Have fun, and stay safe.

John
