Reverse,reverse and more reverse. The Power Pro can be reversed!! That can be very useful when sanding.

IMO Not owning either but at 10er, I looked at the price difference between the two and if I am reading it correctly it is only 400. If you plan to use the lathe and turn bowls or vases, or other than spindle turnings I would suggest the power pro for its lower speed. In some cases 750 is a bit fast for out of balanced turnings. If you want to sand what you turn, 730 is also fast.

Another factor to consider is resale value. From what I've seen Mark 7s hold their value much better than 520's, at least for the first several years. A simple matter of supply and demand in the used market.
