A friend of mine from another forum, Brian Weekley, recently posted a very good YouTube video of his new shop-built router table and fence. Although Brian designed it to mount on a Black and Decker Workmate, it struck me this weekend that the design could easily be adapted to mount between the connector tubes of a Shopsmith 510, 520, or Mark 7 -- pretty much like a floating table. So it might be of interest to some of the folks on this forum. Especially those wthout enough shop space for a dedicated router table.
Brian is one of my Beta testers for the WoodAnchor fixturing system
. For this build, he attached the adjustable router fence faces with WoodAnchor sliding nuts. You can see how the fence goes together between 8:00 and 9:00 in the video. Enjoy!
