Shop-built router table

Post by BuckeyeDennis »

A friend of mine from another forum, Brian Weekley, recently posted a very good YouTube video of his new shop-built router table and fence. Although Brian designed it to mount on a Black and Decker Workmate, it struck me this weekend that the design could easily be adapted to mount between the connector tubes of a Shopsmith 510, 520, or Mark 7 -- pretty much like a floating table. So it might be of interest to some of the folks on this forum. Especially those wthout enough shop space for a dedicated router table.

Brian is one of my Beta testers for the WoodAnchor fixturing system. For this build, he attached the adjustable router fence faces with WoodAnchor sliding nuts. You can see how the fence goes together between 8:00 and 9:00 in the video. Enjoy!
