Winter project

Post by garys »

About 5 years ago my Wife wanted a cabinet she could park near her recliner to hold her knitting items while she works there. I built this one.

After using it for a few years I decided I wanted a similar one to sit across the room next to my recliner for storing my books where I can reach them. For the past few weeks I've built this one. It is similar to my Wife's cabinet made from the same wood, but since it sits on the opposite side of the recliner it is kind of a mirror image, but mine has a large file cabinet door on one end for books and papers.

Woodworking is fun because you get custom made products to fit your wants and needs. Thanks Shopsmith.

Nice job on both of these!

The carving on the knitting cabinet is nice and creative.
