What are these clothespins used for? And where do you find the spring?

I was thinking it might be fun to make a couple.

I have one on my dash of my Honda element for the past 17 years stuck on with double stick tape, I use it for notes to remind me to do things

they are rather cool, people like them when given as a gift. I always put a strip of double stick tape on them when I give away.

easy to make.
spring, couldn't tell you where I got mine, but I did see some for sale when I was searching for plans.

These don't have any other dimensions but the width which is 1-3/8". Does this sound about right?

https://www.meiselwoodhobby.com/Product ... x?id=44831

Got to call them tomorrow to decide on an order I have with them, which has a bunch of out of stock items so I can check if they have more information and possible order them.

Maybe get 10 to play with. Would be great for grand kids to hang art work etc. What woods have you used?

good chance I brought them from Meisel. yea that's the width.

the ones I have didn't match up to the pattern I found.
I had to reconfigure the pattern.
I just made some using oak. I usually like a wood with a nice pattern, but usually don't have fancy wood.
I bet zebra wood would look nice.

Thanks, I'll keep in mind that the drawing has issues and try and find the issues before making 10 of them.....

BTW don't order paint from them. The lady said they have not had any in months and no idea when it will return.

Got the 10 springs on order.

Does anyone know if the real thing was beech, well at least at one time??
