Heres the final version- after the teenager gave it a discerning look , touched it and declared "its wobbly" .
I added the second shelf-which hides its true purpose as a stabilizer !
Though hard to see in this direction,. the legs have a 3 degree tilt to vertical which opens up the base some. This became
quite an issue to then match the horizontal struts on the 2nd shelf so that they both glued flat to the shelf, and matched the 3 degree tilt of the
leg they are bolted to. I ended up rip- cutting the horizontal struts with a 3 degree bevel just on one side-so atleast on the outside leg face-they matched.
I could have beveled the shelf itself on both side 3 degrees-but it would have meant going back for restaining/poly and I got lazy

I think the lower shelf is a great addition visually, as well. I like how you made it "float" in the center of the stretchers.
