Made possible by this forum

Post by lew »

I want to say thank you for both John's doll cradle inspiration and the assistance I got from this forum in getting my planer back up and running. It's not perfect, but don't think my new-born niece will notice and I learned a lot
Please excuse the mess...

Very nice! What wood type(s) did you use, by the way ?

Thank you! The wood is Quarter Sawn White Oak. The heart covering the swing mechanism is Purple Heart leftover from a cutting board project.

I can't claim credit for the spindles, those were purchased, but maybe someday..

Nice work, Lew! QSWO is my favorite choice for wood.

I see you have an Oneida Dust Cobra. Have you used it with your SS and if so, how is the dust collection?

Good Job!

I like your idea of the heart to cover the swing parts. If you don't mind, I may try that when I make one for the next great-grand daughter.
