The wood is Cedar salvaged from an old corral that was part of a homestead in western South Dakota(circa 1905). The corral was made with 3" X 10" x 9' Cedar planks The old homestead site is on my cousin's ranch. When I showed him the Fireplace mantle I shot my mouth off and told him there were salvage wood buyers. I don't know what he sold the wood for but I know he bought a new 4WD PU.
