Very nice indeed. I am sure the seller is happy it is going to someone who will care for it and get some great use out of it.

I’d be envious if I wasn’t so happy for you. Looks like you’ll have a lot of fun with that!

Yes, pens can be done on a Shopsmith. And other small things also. If you buy a chuck you will have to get a SS adaptor for the chuck.
Bill VRe: SS Mark 7, Lathe and Routing
Bill: some very nice work sir, i hope with alot of practice i can do close to that quality
has anyone used or own the SS Nova penset kit ?? kinda thought this might be a decent way to get started in this area

I prefer the Oneway Talon chuck. I got a Nova G3 as a second chuck but I did not like it. Don't take just my opinion though. The Nova had a left hand thread for tightening and loosening the jaws. A bit confusing when using two chucks. I sold the Nova and bought a second Oneway. Whichever one you buy you will be happy with it. I understand that Nova may have corrected the left handed thread issue but check first. If you do buy a second chuck eventually I recommend that you buy the same brand. The chuck jaws are not compatible across brands.
