Post by tkjones63 »

Has anyone done one of mr reids or the ShopSmith webinars ? and approximately how long do they last, how much bandwidth is needed? and is a mic & Cam needed ??

we are out in the rural and my internet drifts between 5 meg and 11 meg down "a real good day".

thanks

You need a mic and a cam if you want to participate interactively. Otherwise you can just watch. Your internet speed should be just fine.

I did one years back with a lot less bandwidth without any problems. No one else joined the webinar so it was just me and Doug. I don't really remember what the subject of the webinar was, maybe a PowerPro introduction, but I do recall it was the first time I saw a floating table set up as an outfeed table.

I sat in on one and really enjoyed it. Doug is so knowledgeable and open to most any question. My connection was weak and I had no issues. Scott

Troy,

I'm a bit late here at your thread but in case it helps anyone: I just attended one of Doug's webinars and it was a bit over 30 mins long. I don't have a microphone so I just typed whatever I needed to say in the chat thingy on the side of the screen. Doug has a good audio connection and it was not a problem hearing him.
