Thx idcook!

I'm slowly getting back up to speed. I got the rest of the steering hardware installed on the boat.

Big step forward here: I got the props back and ready to install. I was surprised when I tried but failed to find Prussian Blue...not a single auto parts store in my area carried it. They can order it, but it's not on the shelf. Most of the counter people I spoke with didn't even know what Prussian Blue is. I ended up ordering online, and even that took ten days to get here.

I think this is one of many signs that we're at the end of times. lol

Anyway, here's the latest-- 1969 Chris Craft Roamer 46 Refit: Props

I used Prussian Blue to set up ring and pinion gears in racing rearends back in the days of my racing and transmission shop. I had to get the parts store to order it then too. That was 1979 .... :D

I don't know what I'd do without Amazon.com!

The Prussian blue came in and I got the props lapped and installed. Next up is the final rudder install.

Today's blog covers a step I went through once before -- rudder installation -- but it turns out there was a problem with the material used for the rudder bushing. Hopefully, the new material I'm using will resolve that problem.

I finally got around to aligning my rudders. That's one more check box for something that needs doing before we can splash. The punch list grows shorter...

From the bottom of the boat back to the top...

The theft that happened back in May forced me to rethink some things. Case in point: the helm windshield.

This has been bugging me too. The editor in phpBB isn't quite as user friendly as the old board and the online user guides I have found are directed at administrators installing and maintaining the software not the end user.

Prompted by your post I found a guide for using BBCode and here is: How it is done

Cool, my first try and it worked :)
