Very very very good starting price. It will be interesting to see what it actually sells for.

A Power Pro Headstock just showed up on Ebay:

Interesting....anyone know that seller on eBay? I am wondering if the seller is Shopsmith. This reminds me of how Apple shed excess inventory of the Apple watch 1-2 years ago. All of a sudden a bunch of completely new product just started hitting eBay under various seller names just before Christmas that year. The eBay deals were better than the slight discount you could find it in retail stores then. Of course, today the watch is selling much better than then. If I were a betting man, I would say that this is Shopsmith or a related intermediary selling built up inventory.

Very intriguing. I'll be watching this. Also interesting that there was no "minimum".

No, I do not recognize the seller but I do recall a while back that some of the Shopsmith inventory was offered on eBay. However, PowerPro hardly falls into the category of excess inventory and I very seriously doubt that Grandma is in any way related to Shopsmith. Then again, eBay items sometimes sell for much, much more than one might expect; sometimes even more than new item cost. This fact would back eBay a good market place.

I predict: No one is going to steal this.

Yeah, looking at the other items offered by this seller, it appears to be one Mark VII being parted out, so probably one seller and not an inventory reduction as I first thought. I agree with you....my guess is this won't go "cheap". Of course it has no warranty coverage at this point, so if it gets bid up close to a new (2019) unit, what would be the point in getting it???

I recognize the seller. I have gotten things from him in the past. He normally does not put a minimum on any of the things he sells. He does normally have a half a dozen SS parts.

The planer is barely visible under the Mark V. Also see a 500 extension table, fence and saw guards, so may have started out as a 500 before being upgraded to a 510 (or a 505?).
