Is it just me or did the url and the entire look of the forum change this afternoon???

I don't know but what I found when I logged on today looks very little like what was there when I logged off a few days ago.

Actually, when I first logged on everything was as normal except a lot of unread posts. While I was attempting to catch up with the reading, everything changed.

Rigth now, it is frustrating because it is all new.

I must find a way to mute this very light colored screen. Looking at it for just a while burns my eyes.

Did we get a heads up from admin that this was coming? Among other things, it looks like we have all been demoted back to "Bronze" member status.

Yes, the forum was running on an older version of vbulletin. For security and compatibility with current web browsers, we needed to update the forum software.

At the same time, we decided to move it under the shopsmith.com website for better integration with the rest of the website.

I'll check into why the rankings didn't convert (and everyone is at bronze). The number of posts for each person did convert correctly, so I'll be able to run something to fix it.

Does the update come with any user visible upgrades, like perhaps the capability to upload larger photos or even videos?

One big negative is that while the index now shows who most recently posted to the various forums, there's no information about what thread the new post relates to.

I'll add that to the list to check on. Even with in-house testing, I'm expecting we'll find a decent number of differences to mitigate.

Well, for one — This new design doesn't rescale itself to fit the full text box width when I view it on my iPhone.
