Aside from persistence and patience, what's the secret sauce?
And that is at 640 x 503!
I cannot imagine how much better it looks at higher resolution!

I have been following a nesting pair of bald eagles, just a few miles from my house in Greenfield Indiana. This photo was from the pair early in the spring. I have a couple of Flickr albums following the pair for nearly a year if anyone is interested..
That's an awesome photo. Yes, I wouldn't mind seeing your albums.

I was out on the walk again today. A lot of geese and a few ducks but looked pretty much like local stock yet. No northern ducks that I could find.
I did manage to catch a shot of snow jaws, yea we have them here in IL in the winter.

I walked for about an hour and no eagle sightings. Did see one hawk but he was camera shy so I kind of figured today would be a bust for eagle watching. Then when I was almost back to the van along came an eagle. Posed for a couple of shots before heading down stream. Love how the low angle of the sun highlighted his/her wing feathers.
