The one who asked the question, post has been deleted because he added a URL to the quote.

The software is rotating my pictures when I try to add them to a post (they go from portrait to landscape). Anyone know how to prevent this??

The easiest way is to always take the pictures with the phone in the landscape orientation. If I don't want it wider than tall, I set the aspect ratio to 1:1 and get a square picture.

For speed in processing the phone stores all photos as if they were taken in landscape mode, and then stores a flag as to the actual orientation.
For reasons known only the themselves, the programmers at phpBB (volunteers for the free software) have decided not to have the software check for that flag. Some photo editing programs will let you rotate the image and have it display correctly, the one I use doesn't work properly that way.

IRFanview will always store it to display correctly as viewed from it's screen. IRFanview also can rotate it as well as scale it. Some other stuff also.

Any photo procedure that includes linking to an other url has in the past been shown to be unreliable and prone to becoming unavailable.

i.e. NOT recommended.

This is actually the best way to do this. Thanks for sharing.
That's sneaky editing in link spam in the quoted text. Both you and the poster you quoted have only one post. Hmmmm
